You’ll probably need Wi-Fi, either on site or bridged via a 3G-enabled laptop or router. Depending on how long your session is, you may need AC power. Easy access to bathrooms is critical. Shade, shelter or an indoor backup location give you some flexibility to adapt to changing weather conditions.

Tech Infrastructure

Some tools we're using for Breakout include:

• Cradlepoint PHS-300 personal hotspot - small, works with most USB 3G modems in the US, and has an internal rechargeable battery that lasts about 2 hours at full throttle.
• AHS-20000 Mobile Charger - direct from the Pearl River Delta's factories to you, its a rechargeable 20000 mAh battery, about the size of a VHS tape. it drives the PHS-300 for about 10 hours.
• HP 407wbt Mobile Photo Printer - color inkjet with battery pack and Bluetooth. for when you absolutely have to kill some trees.
